Inserting Screenshots with Poll Everywhere for Google Slides

With Poll Everywhere for Google Slides, the Presenter can insert screenshots of activities directly into their presentation. This is useful for including responses from a previous session, sharing the deck (including audience responses) with others, etc.

Whether it's simple activities like Multiple choice and Word cloud, Surveys, or even Competitions, a few clicks will get you up and running.

Inserting screenshots

The following steps will walk through how to insert an activity screenshot into the Google Slides presentation.

Step 1: Create or open a Google Slides presentation.

Step 2: Click the Poll Everywhere tab in the taskbar.

Step 3: Select log in from the Poll Everywhere menu. (If currently logged in, skip to Step 5 below.)

Step 4: Log in or sign up for a new account.

Step 5: Once the Presenter is logged in, again click the Poll Everywhere tab, hover over the Insert option, then select “Screenshot" from the menu.

Step 6: Select the activity to insert a screenshot of it. An image of the completed activity with all results will be inserted into the presentation deck.

Be logged in

Make sure to be logged into the Poll Everywhere for Google Slides with the same account the activity was created under.

Tips on Competition’s screenshots

When inserting screenshots for Competitions, the app will insert a screenshot of the final leaderboard and the response slide of each question.

Tips on Survey’s screenshots

If the Presenter inserts the screenshot of a Survey that has received responses, then the screenshot will show the audience’s progress through the Survey at the time the screenshot was taken. If there are no responses to the survey at the time the Presenter inserts the screenshot, then it will show only the Survey’s title and instructions to respond.
